NEWS BRIEF: UK fantasy drama Britannia is heading to US cable after NBC Universal Global Distribution signed a licence deal for the original Sky Atlantic series.

The first two seasons of the show will debut on MGM-owned cable channel Epix in a Sunday night slot from August, with the series continuing through the fall. Season three is currently in production at Vertigo Films, Neal Street Productions and Sky Studios. The show previously aired on Amazon in the US.
