The CW adds originals for summer

Penn & Teller: Fool Us originated on ITV in the UK

US broadcaster The CW is set to launch its biggest batch of original content to date this summer, with five new shows coming to the channel.

The CW’s original newcomers are talent show The Big Stage, sci-fi drama Pandora, comedy gameshow Hypnotize Me, anthology docuseries Mysteries Decoded and extreme sport series Red Bull Peaking.

Returning to the network, meanwhile, are Burden of Truth, Masters of Illusion, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Whose Line is it Anyway? and The Outpost. Additionally, four of The CW’s mid-season series – Jane the Virgin, In the Dark, The 100 and iZombie – will all run into the summer months.

The channel has also picked up British action thriller Bulletproof, which was originally made for Sky1 in the UK.
