The block, which will also launch in Central and Eastern Europe this summer, is the result of KidsCo linking up with US cablenet Syfy, also owned by NBCUniversal, and Canada’s Corus Entertainment.

Content set to feature in the block includes Z-Squad, the animated series spun out of movie franchise Back to the Future, and KidsCo’s original production Zuzu & the Supernuffs, coproduced with Matchbox Pictures.

Hendrik McDermott, MD of KidsCo, said: “We have acquired a raft of quality, imagination-based content – including the acclaimed series Matt Hatter Chronicles – which, once fully dubbed, will bring Syfy Kids to life.” In total, KidsCo will deliver over 120 hours of dubbed content, fully localising all primetime programming in Asia.
