Superights shops Will to SVoD

A host of SVoD services have acquired an animated series about a young paraplegic boy from French distributor Superights.

Will

Will (52×2′) has been taken by Tfou Max in France, PlayKids in Latin America, Lattu Kids in India and Iflix, which is available in multiple countries in Asia.

The series follows a strong and positive main character who shows children that despite his disability and his daily life in a wheelchair, he can live like everyone else.

The SVoD services join TV5 Monde, Canal Once in Mexico, MBC in the Middle East, TFO in Canada and MTVA in Hungary in acquiring the edutainment series.

The show’s producer Crossriver has also made a spin-off series, Handico (12×3′), which is designed to be an educational extension to Will.

It sees Will answer children’s questions in a playful and imaginative way by explaining the 12 most common disabilities. The first episodes will be previewed at Mipcom later this month.

In related news, Superights has added Up to the Mountain, the latest special in the New Horn Quartet series, to its catalogue.

Produced by Vivement Lundi, the special has been acquired by Télé-Québec in Canada, TG4 in Ireland and Chinese distributor WeKids.
