Seven answers TCB’s Emergency Calls

TCB is involved in Phoenix Television’s Underground Worlds

Australian broadcaster Seven Network is on board a new UK factual series from Kew Media Group’s TCB Media Rights and a fledgling London-based production company.

Seven has pre-bought World’s Most Shocking Emergency Calls (10×60′), which examines disturbing incidents that start with a terrified call for help.

It comes from Hunch Media, a production house set up last year specialising in factual, true crime, non-scripted factual entertainment and entertainment programmes.

Meanwhile, London-based rights ownership and distribution company TCB is also involved in the production of another new original UK factual series, Underground Worlds (10×60′).

The show comes from factual, factual entertainment and reality producer Phoenix Television, which was set up in 2017 by Miles Jarvis and Jaimi West.

Both series are exec produced by TCB commissioning editor Hannah Demidowicz and have moved into production following the involvement of TCB, which is hosting its annual screenings event in London today.

Paul Heaney, founder and CEO of TCB Media Rights, said: “The strategy of getting involved in content creation is now starting to pay dividends. We are always learning and hopefully improving how we manage this new endeavour – matching the demands of our buyer community with the skills of our incredible producer-partners.”

“The result is a strong pipeline of fresh, original and marketable programming, of which World’s Most Shocking Emergency Calls and Underground Worlds are prime examples. Greenlighting these shows is a hell of a responsibility, but we have the infrastructure and support to do so.”

The distributor now has more than 250 titles in its catalogue, including Giant Lobster Hunters, World’s Most Incredible Hotels, How I Caught the Killer and Shake My Beauty.
