Sali Mali rides again for Siriol

Cardiff toon house Siriol Animation, a division of Entertainment Rights, has been commissioned to make another 26×5' series of its children's series Sali Mali.

The commission, from Welsh broadcaster S4C, brings the total number of episodes to 52. The show, based on the books by Mary Vaughan Jones, follows the adventures of a young girl and her pet jackdaw.

The show is narrated by Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) with Cerys Matthews from the Welsh pop combo Catatonia singing the soundtrack.

The first series has aired terrestrially in the UK on S4C and on cable and satellite by Nickelodeon UK. S4C International distributes the show internationally.
