The US public channel will begin airing the 25×12′ second season of the well-travelled show, co-created and executive produced by Jennifer Oxley and Billy Aronson, in spring 2016.

The series, about a spirited little girl and her feline sidekick, won three Emmys last year, including the gong for outstanding preschool children’s animation programme.

Peg + Cat’s first 80×12′ season has been sold by production partner and distributor 9 Story Media Group to 30 broadcasters around the world.

These include Discovery Kids in Latin America, MBC Kids in United Arab Emirates, SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland, TVNZ in New Zealand, TG4 in Ireland, Canal+ Family in France, Super RTL in Germany and ABC TV in Australia.

The new episodes of Peg + Cat will be joined by interactive games and digital storybooks for PBS Kids’ digital platforms.
