Zinc Media Group acquires UK ‘blue light’ factual indie Raw Cut

Raw Cut’s 800 hours of TV includes ‘blue light’ series Road Wars

UK production group Zinc Media Group is acquiring local factual indie Raw Cut, known for its ‘blue light’ programming such as Road Wars and Police Interceptors.

Founded in 2002, Raw Cut has a legacy of over 800 hours of factual television, including true crime, history and feature docs as well as long-standing partnerships with Netflix, Sky, BBC, Channel 4, ITV and Discovery.

With production centres in London and Cardiff, Raw Cut adds a Welsh presence to Zinc’s existing nations and regions presence in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Raw Cut also provides an international distribution division, based in London, that will support Zinc’s strategy to deliver greater secondary programme value.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Zinc Media is made up of companies including current affairs and investigative journalism specialist Brook Lapping, specialist factual prodcos Atomic and Red Sauce, nations and regions firm Tern TV and popular factual producer Rex.
