ZDF Neo adapts Paramount comedy gameshow After Midnight in Germany

German network ZDF Neo has commissioned a local adaptation of Paramount-owned comedy panel gameshow After Midnight.

The new Constantin Entertainment-produced version, titled Neo Social Club, will premiere on ZDF Neo on February 5. The eight-episode first season is hosted by German podcaster and content creator Laura Larsson, who will challenge German media personalities as they unpack pop culture trends of the day.

This marks the first international adaptation of the After Midnight format, which is sold internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

The German market has proven to be fertile ground for Paramount-controlled formats, with streamer RTL+ commissioning local versions of Are You the One? and Ex on the Beach.

Are You the One? was recently greenlit for seasons 13 and 14, while Ex on the Beach will return for a seventh season.

In addition, Germany’s Next Top Model has long been a key part of ProSieben’s schedule, with the series returning for its 21st season later this month.
