Xilam Animation’s Piggy Builders put to work by VRT’s Ketnet, WBD in Italy and SVT

The BBC’s Piggy Builders debuted on CBeebies and iPlayer in July

Belgian public broadcaster VRT’s children’s channel Ketnet, Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) in Italy and Sweden’s SVT have acquired CG animated preschool series Piggy Builders.

The 52×11’ series, from French studio Xilam Animation, has also been picked up by YLE (Finland), RTS (Switzerland) and Téléquebec (French-speaking Canada).

Originally commissioned by the BBC in the UK, France Télévisions and Germany’s ZDF, Piggy Builders premiered on CBeebies and iPlayer in July. It will debut in other countries in the coming weeks.

Directed by Romain Villemaine, Piggy Builders centres on a trio of pig siblings who share a deep love for building, problem solving and their community. They all have a lot to learn about working together, but when they manage to work as a team, the impossible becomes possible.
