Nermin will report to Mia Edde, who was appointed executive director of Turkish content for WarnerMedia International last year. Edde is responsible for all originals commissioned and produced in Turkey for SVoD service HBO Max, which will arrive in the country later this year.

Antony Root, exec VP and head of original production ay WarnerMedia, leads the pan-EMEA original programming team that commissions and produces HBO Max originals.

Prior to joining HBO Max, Eroğlu was a producer at production company Ay Yapim, and between 2017 and 2019 was the deputy general manager for drama at local broadcaster Kanal D, where she produced drama series Vatanim Sensin (Wounded Love).

Before that, Eroğlu worked for TIMS Productions and BKM Film. Her exec producer credits include Muhteşem Yüzyil (Magnificent Century), Asi and Firtina.

Edde said: “Nermin brings a lot of experience when it comes to producing best-in-class programming – I am delighted she has joined the team. As we move forward developing a slate of Turkish content, Nermin will be a crucial point of contact for the creative community, enabling us to unearth stories that can succeed both locally and globally.”
