Warner TV pushes into Europe

MIPCOM NEWS: Warner Bros has teamed up with On Demand Deutschland (ODD), a joint venture between On Demand Group and Tele München Gruppe, to launch its branded video-on-demand service in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland.

The Warner TV service will carry a range of Warner Bros-distributed movies, including titles from the Batman, Ocean’s Eleven and National Lampoon franchises, plus TV shows such as Friends, ER, The Twilight Zone and Joey.

ODD will launch subscription-based Warner TV through its operating partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Warner TV is already carried by Top Up TV, Tiscali, Virgin Media and BT Vision in the UK, ProSieben in Germany, USEN’s GyaO in Japan, FastWeb in Italy and Free TV in France.
