Walter Presents and TV4 acquire Icelandic Nordic-noir series Reykjavik Fusion

Foreign-language streamer Walter Presents in the UK and Swedish broadcaster TV4 have acquired Icelandic drama series Reykjavik Fusion from The Mediapro Studio Distribution.

The Nordic-noir series is a coproduction with Arte, Act4 and SKOT Productions, and distributed in conjunction with Wild Sheep Content. Act4 founder Ólafur Darri Ólafsson exec produces and stars.

Created by Hörður Rúnarsson (As Long As We Live) and writer Birkir Blær Ingólfsson (The Minister), Reykjavik Fusion had its international premiere at Cannes Series. It has also premiered in Iceland on Simmin, in Finland on public broadcaster YLE and in Spain on AMC Networks. It will debut in the US next month on Kino Lorber-owned streamer MHz Choice.

The six-part series follows a talented chef working to rebuild his life after he was wrongly imprisoned. But as society turns its back on him, he accepts dirty money to set up a fine-dining restaurant and is forced to run a money-laundering operation to pay it back.
