Walt Disney TV Alternative brings in three VPs under Rob Mills as it preps for growth

L-R: Jill Chapman, Alicia Martino and Mike Rosen

Walt Disney Television Alternative (WDTA), the unscripted production division of the Mouse House launched in February 2021, has hired a trio of VPs as it looks to grow its existing brands and create new ones.

Jill Chapman has been named VP of alternative series and content planning, Alicia Martino joins as VP of alternative series and Mike Rosen will serve as VP of production.

All three will report to Tiffany Faigus, senior VP, unscripted and alternative entertainment, ABC Entertainment and WDTA. The division is led by Rob Mills, executive VP, unscripted and alternative entertainment.

The new team is tasked with building out WDTA’s existing unscripted brands and identifying new ideas and series concepts. In addition, the team will supervise creative production on unscripted series and pilots.

Chapman was previously at Hulu, where she oversaw unscripted TV development strategy for original and licensed content with a focus on docu-soap, docu-follow, competition and lifestyle programming. She worked on projects including the Hulu originals The D’Amelio Show and Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi.

Most recently, Martino was an executive producer on BET’s Next Chance Girl Group and co-executive producer on CBS’s Love Island and MTV’s Are You The One?.

Rosen has served as executive in charge of production for various nets and studio groups including The CW, Fox, MTV, ABC and Amazon Studios, overseeing projects including Amazon Studios’ The One That Got Away and ABC’s Pooch Perfect.

“We are proud to have set the all-star team that will work with all of our creative partners across our platforms and beyond to produce the most groundbreaking and buzzworthy unscripted series and specials,” said Mills and Faigus in a statement.
