Veteran industry exec Emilia Nuccio joins FilmRise to head international sales

New York-based studio, distributor and streaming operator FilmRise has appointed Emilia Nuccio to the newly created position of VP for international sales.

Nuccio’s responsibilities will include overseeing all international deals and selling the company’s catalogue, including its new releases and coproductions, internationally. She will report to Melissa Wohl, senior VP and head of sales at FilmRise.

The experienced acquisitions, licensing and merchandising executive has previously served as senior VP of sales at Dynamic Television, president of international sales at Echo Bridge and president of international programme and licensing sales at Itsy Bitsy Entertainment Company. She has also worked at BBC Worldwide Americas and Televisa.

News of the appointment comes two weeks after FilmRise tapped former Vudu exec Daniel Gagliardi as its VP of digital distribution and business development.

The company operates FilmRise Streaming Network, a portfolio of ad-supported streaming apps and FAST channels. According to FilmRise it offers more than 50,000 licensed and originally produced scripted and unscripted films and TV episodes across all genres, including Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, true crime series Unsolved Mysteries and UK series such as Peep Show, Shameless and Midsomer Murders.
