United States of Al goes Global

Canadian network Global TV has added forthcoming US sitcom United States of Al, exec produced by The Big Bang Theory co-creator Chuck Lorre, to its spring line-up.

United States of Al is about a US Marine veteran (Parker Young) who is trying to settle into life back home when the Afghani interpreter from his unit (Adhir Kalyan) turns up to live in the US.

Created by David Goetsch and Maria Ferrari, the series is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions and WarnerMedia-owned Warner Bros Television. It was originally commissioned for US network CBS, which will debut it on April 1, when the show will also premiere on Global TV.

Lorre, who also co-created Two & a Half Men, exec produces alongside Goetsch, Ferrari, Reza Aslan and Mahyad Tousi. Mark Cendrowski exec produced and directed the pilot.
