TV4 exec heads to FremantleMedia

The deputy head of programming at Swedish broadcaster TV4 has been made MD of FremantleMedia Sweden. Magnus Karlsson-Lamm will take the reins at FremantleMedia in Sweden on September 1 after seven years at TV4, where he was also acting head of entertainment.

Karlsson-Lamm will be responsible for managing all development and production operations in Sweden, working with divisions across the FremantleMedia group and leveraging existing relationships with both broadcast and non-broadcast partners in the Swedish market. He will report to Daniela Matei, CEO of the Nordics, Central Eastern Europe & Balkans at FremantleMedia.

The appointment comes after Claes Leinstedt, currently chief operating officer at Scandinavian Studios, left the role of MD at FremantleMedia Sweden last June.

Karlsson-Lamm began his career as a presenter for SVT in Sweden before going on to exec produce shows such as Idol and Let’s Dance in Sweden. FremantleMedia Sweden, formerly known as Blu, has produced formats such as Got Talent, Take Me Out and Total Blackout.
