The CW acts on Canada’s Family Law

NEWS BRIEF: US broadcast network The CW has picked up Canadian drama series Family Law from distributor Entertainment One.

Produced by Canadian companies Seven24 Films and Lark Productions and starring Jewel Staite and Victor Garber, the series follows a lawyer and recovering alcoholic who is attempting to put her career and family back together after hitting rock bottom. Season one of Family Law debuted on Canadian network Global, owned by Corus Entertainment, last autumn. The show has already been renewed for a second season.
