Télé-Québec, Chile’s NTV, Switzerland’s RTS pick up animated series Samuel

Télé-Québec in French-speaking Canada, Chilean broadcaster NTV and Switzerland’s RTS have acquired French animated series Samuel.

Produced by Paris-based studio Les Valseurs and created by Émilie Tronche, Samuel follows the inner world of a 10-year-old boy who records his daily struggles and secrets in a diary.

The black-and-white shortform series has already aired on Arte in France and Germany, and in Spain on RTVE and TV3. It was also previously acquired by Netflix for the US, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, France and Spain.

Samuel is available in both horizontal and vertical formats, so it can be viewed on social media as well as linear TV. France’s Folivari International distributes the series globally.
