Zlotnik, who is responsible for the development, production and programming strategy of Starz originals, will exit at the end of the month.

His departure comes one year after Starz CEO Chris Albrecht announced his exit from the cablenet, with the reins eventually being handed to chief operating officer Jeffrey Hirsch.

Zlotnik’s next move is not yet known. During his time at Starz, he oversaw scripted dramas including Power, American Gods, Outlander, Vida, Counterpart and Sweetbitter.

Limited series such as The White Princess, The White Queen, The Girlfriend Experience, The Missing, Now Apocalypse and The Spanish Princess have also aired during his tenure.

Prior to joining Starz in 2010, Zlotnik was head of operations for IMG Global Media, overseeing the media side of the fashion, sports and entertainment conglomerate.

Before that, Zlotnik spent 20 years at HBO in various management positions, including spells as executive VP of new media programming and executive VP of creative operations, business development and new media.

“Carmi’s track record speaks for itself. He has been a valued member of the Starz team for nearly a decade, helping to build the Starz original programming team and strategy from the ground up while also serving as a great creative partner, mentor and friend to so many,” said Starz president and CEO Hirsch.

“We remain grateful to Carmi for his contributions and commitment to Starz throughout his time here and wish him continued success in his next chapter.”
