Sphere Abacus sells 200 hours of factual to CEE buyers Dox TV, Czech TV and Viasat World

CONTENT WARSAW: UK-based distributor Sphere Abacus has made a raft of content sales to platforms and broadcasters across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Croatia-based streamer Dox TV has picked up a package of content for subscribers in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo.

The deal includes Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson, One Day in October, The Man Who Stole the Scream, Breaking Dad: Britain’s Unlikeliest Drug Dealer, Vanished: The Lucie Blackman Mystery, Millionaire Murders, Murder: Fight for the Truth, and Bloodline Detectives.

Also included in the Dox TV package are Kingdom Uncovered: Inside Saudi Arabi, Israel-Gaza: Into the Abyss, Monkey on a Stick: Murder, Madness and the Hare Krishnas, feature doc Dogs of War and factual series Tony Robinson’s Marvellous Machines.

Public broadcaster Czech TV, meanwhile, has acquired docuseries Travels with Agatha Christie & Sir David Suchet, Ben Fogle’s Race for the Nile, Secret Worlds of Sound with David Attenborough, Blenheim: Britain’s Greatest Palace and Twitter: Breaking the Bird.

Meanwhile, pay TV broadcaster Viasat World has picked up true crime drama Maxine for Viasat True Crime in the Baltics, CEE and CIS (excluding Belarus); Titanic: Secrets of the Shipwreck for the Baltics, CEE (except Poland), CIS (except Belarus) and Scandinavia; and Killer Kings and Aussie Road Train Truckers for the Baltics, CEE, CIS (excluding Belarus) and Scandinavia.
