Silvergate appoints diversity lead

NEWS BRIEF: Sony-owned UK and US kids producer Silvergate Media has promoted Shelli Rottman to chief diversity officer.

Along with her existing responsibilities as executive VP of business and legal affairs, Rottman will now oversee Silvergate’s diversity and inclusion programme from the company’s New York office. She joined Silvergate Media in 2011, handling all the company’s legal affairs on kids’ shows like Peter Rabbit and Octonauts. Prior to that, Rottman worked as in-house legal counsel for Chorion and Condé Nast, among others.
