Sequel featuring Jon Snow set to join Game of Thrones spin-off projects

A Game of Thrones spin-off sequel in which Kit Harington would return to play the role of Jon Snow is in early development at HBO, according to US reports.

The as-yet-untitled, unconfirmed project will be set after the events of Game of Thrones, the hit HBO series that concluded in 2019 and has already spawned the forthcoming prequel, House of the Dragon.

HBO has declined to comment and no further details on the project are known. After the original series, based on George RR Martin’s novels of the same name, came to an end, HBO and Martin were said to be developing at least five spin-off projects.

However, at the time, Martin said these would not feature any characters from the fantasy adventure drama and all would be prequels.

House of the Dragon, set 200 years before Game of Thrones, will start on August 21. The three other spin-off prequels so far confirmed by HBO are Tales of Dunk & Egg, 10,000 Ships and Nine Voyages.
