Samsung TV Plus grows UK FAST portfolio with Trevor Noah channel

FAST platform Samsung TV Plus has launched a Trevor Noah channel in the UK, carrying more than 170 hours of comedy and podcast content from the comedian and former Daily Show host.

The channel’s content is drawn from Noah’s YouTube channel, which has generated more than 430 million views. It features segments from Noah’s podcast What Now?, which sees him interview prominent thinkers, alongside his stand-up routines.

The launch forms part of Samsung TV Plus’s investment in creator-led channels, with its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) portfolio also including Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place, Golf Life and Joe Media, as well as content from Dhar Mann and Mark Rober.

The channel has been brought to Samsung TV Plus in partnership with WildVision, which works with creators and rights holders to distribute existing content across platforms.

“Trevor Noah brings world-class comedy to Samsung TV Plus,” said Chris Gregory, head of content development at Samsung TV Plus EMEA, adding that the launch reflects the platform’s strategy of bringing established creators to audiences on connected TVs.
