Red Arrow moves for Warner exec

Global distributor Red Arrow International has appointed an executive from Warner Bros to the newly created role of VP of format acquisitions and sales in London.

Harry Gamsu will be responsible for all format acquisitions for the German distributor’s slate from August 21 and will report to Henrik Pabst, co-MD of Red Arrow International.

Gamsu has previously worked in a variety of international distribution and acquisition roles, most recently with Warner Bros International Television Production, where he was acquisitions manager.

Pabst said: “We are continuously striving to create stronger ties within the international format landscape and identify and secure exciting new properties. London as a location is ideal for that, as is Harry, with his established network of key creatives and extensive industry experience.”

It’s the latest staff change at Red Arrow International, the international sales arm of ProSiebenSat.1’s Red Arrow Entertainment Group.

Pabst and Irina Ignatiew were promoted to deputy MD’s at the firm in December, before being upped again a month later to lead the company following Jens Richter’s move to FremantleMedia.

In April this year Axel Boehm was promoted to senior VP of sales for Europe having originally joined the firm in 2005, while Amelie von Kienlin is set to join as VP of scripted acquisitions on September 1.
