Rakuten TV grabs its passport to stream Ukrainian thematic FAST channel 1+1 Travel

Ukraine’s 1+1 Media’s thematic FAST channel 1+1 Travel is now available in 43 European countries through a partnership with European VoD service Rakuten TV.

The channel offers travel content taking viewers to remote corners of the planet, inspired by 1+1 Media’s long-running TV format The World Inside Out, hosted and directed by Dmytro Komarov.

Tetiana Voloshchenko, head of new channel development and international broadcasting at 1+1 Media, said: “Telling the world about Ukraine is vitally important, but it is equally important to introduce viewers to new places and exotic cultures.

“That is why we have travel shows that showcase corners of the planet far from Europe. The partnership with Rakuten TV is an important step in scaling our content, including the unique programme The World Inside Out. Now this show will be available to millions of viewers.”
