Rakuten TV expands its FAST channel footprint across Europe with new deals

Rakuten TV is offering three new FAST channels

European VoD service Rakuten TV has announced FAST channel deals with French producer and distributor Ace Entertainment, digital distribution company Reframed Content Studios and Shanghai Media Group.

The agreements, made through B2B brand Rakuten TV Enterprise, will see Rakuten lead the launch of FAST channels for all three content companies.

Ace Entertainment’s Shark TV provides shark-related movies, while Cesar’s Pack Leader TV, featuring dog behaviour expert Cesar Millán, will stream in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Nordics and Iceland for Reframed. Finally, Chinese drama brand C-Drama NOW is a French-language feed for France, Luxembourg and Belgium for Shanghai Media Group’s subsidiary WingsMedia, in partnership with Bolytics.

Marcos Milanez, CCO, Rakuten TV, said: “These partnerships highlight Rakuten TV’s commitment to empowering content rights holders and accelerating the growth of the FAST ecosystem across Europe. We’re helping content partners build FAST channels and broaden their distribution coverage, with Rakuten TV becoming a true one-stop-shop.”
