Amazon’s Prime Video is working on a French adaptation of an Israeli drama series about male sex workers with Mediawan Group-owned Oberkampf Productions and Story Nation Productions.

Escort Boys (6×30′) is currently filming on location in the Camargue region of France and follows four young men, driven by their respective troubles and torment, who decide to sell their bodies for sex.

Amateurs at first, with the help of the mischievous little sister of the group, they go on to set up the only escort service in the region.

Johnny & the Knights of the Galilee, the original Israeli series, aired in 2015. Created by Dani Rosenberg and Tom Shoval and produced by Yes Studios, it was also known under the title Milk & Honey.

The French comedy drama marks the first series directed by Ruben Alves (The Gilded Cage), who writes alongside Yael Lebrati Attuil, Marc Syrigas and Hélène Le Gal.

Attached to star are Guillaume Labbé, Thibaut Evrard, Corentin Fila, Simon Ehrlacher and Marysole Fertard.

In other news, the inaugural season of the Extreme E racing series has been captured in a new documentary, set for release on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland this summer.

Race for the Planet is a five-part docu series giving audiences a look at Extreme E’s 2021 season and the climate change story that underpinned it. The show has been executive produced by sports production company NEO Studios.

Extreme E’s first campaign brought some of the world’s top male and female racers together to compete in electric SUVs in locations impacted by climate and environmental issues.
