Pretzel to take bite out of TV

Steve Wynne has left his role as joint MD of the UK’s Rival Media to set up a TV division at Pretzel Films.

Pretzel Films Group began as a corporate production company specialising in ads in 2004. It is currently in development with a number of UK broadcasters on TV projects, the company said.

“We’re out pitching already. We have sitcom pilots shot and scripts written,” Wynne said, adding that this includes a sitcom called Doubt On Loan. The company also has factual and entertainment formats in development.

Wynne, a former director of production at Warner Brothers International Television, launched Rival Media in 2007 alongside joint MD Howard Myers, who remains the company’s sole owner.
