Przemysław Kmiotek has been named CEO at Polish prodco ATM Grupa
CONTENT WARSAW: Veteran TV executive Przemysław Kmiotek has been promoted to the role of CEO at leading Polish prodco ATM Grupa, with a Kino Swiat exec also hired for an exec VP role at the prodco.
Previously serving as vice president, Kmiotek was upped to the top job by decision of a general meeting of the company’s shareholders. He replaces Andrzej Muszyński, who has exited the company after 15 years with the company.
Kmiotek has been with ATM Grupa for more than two decades, beginning his career as a production assistant and going on to serve as MD of the ATM Rozrywka channel, president of ATM Studio and ATM System, and serving as VP since 2020.
His experience of both the creative and commercial sides of television in Poland will be key in his new role as CEO.
Kmiotek is a graduate of the Wrocław Business Academy and the Higher School of Management and Marketing, specialising in human resources management.
Urszula Piasecka, meanwhile, has been hired as exec VP of ATM Grupa, by decision of the supervisory board, after joining the management board at the beginning of May.
Her remit is to oversee the development and production of feature films, documentaries, scripted and reality series. Piasecka is also tasked with new business development, including international cooperation to broaden ATM Group’s creative and commercial activity.
Prior to joining ATM, she served as CEO of distributor Kino Swiat, was director of sales and acquisitions at Warsaw-based Monolith Films and head of domestic and international acquisitions at broadcaster TVP.
Finally, Maciej Grzywaczewski has replaced Artur Hoffman as an independent member of ATM Grupa’s supervisory board. He is a former director of TVP1, co-creator of many Polish formats and a former VP of ATM Grupa.
Founded in 1992, ATM produces both scripted and unscripted programming for broadcasters such as Polsat and TV 4. Yesterday, C21 exclusively announced that the outfit will make a local language adaptation of hit Israeli legal thriller Your Honor.
