Polish exec Dorota Eberhardt to depart WBD, take up new role as boss of film sales house Kino Świat

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) Poland executive Dorota Eberhardt has been appointed CEO of Canal+-owned Polish film producer and distributor Kino Świat

Reporting to Alex Hamilton, CEO, StudioCanal, she will take up her new duties later this year.

Eberhardt is tasked with accelerating the development and distribution of Polish movies.

She is presently VP of programming, streaming and new channels portfolio at WBD TVN, where she oversees programme strategy, content production and channel operations.

At WBD, Eberhardt has been instrumental in the success of scripted series such as Eastern Gate and Decent Man, as well as factual projects like 33 Photos from the Ghetto and Skin Hunters. Under her leadership, streaming service Player launched Poland’s first FAST channels offering.

Prior her 10-year tenure at WBD, she previously held roles at CD Projekt and Forum Film Poland, Disney’s theatrical distributor.
