Oprah Winfrey Network meets Kings of Napa

Oprah Winfrey has made headlines around the world this week for her interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Discovery-owned US cablenet OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has greenlit a drama series from Janine Sherman Barrois, the showrunner of TNT comedy drama Claws.

Produced by Winfrey’s Harpo Films and Warner Bros Television, The Kings of Napa is about the power struggle between the wealthy King family siblings in California’s Napa Valley.

Talkshow host Winfrey will executive produce the series alongside Barrois and Michelle Listenbee Brown. Matthew A Cherry (Hair Love) will direct the first two episodes, with the show set to premiere early next year.
