OGM Universe hires Selim Türkmen as sales director for MENA and Africa

Turkish distributor OGM Universe has hired former Kanal D International exec Selim Türkmen as sales director for MENA and Africa.

Türkmen spent eight years at Kanal D, joining in 2016 to manage sales across Western Europe, Africa and South Asia. He transitioned to overseeing MENA, sub-Saharan Africa and Western Europe in 2020, before becoming director of sales in 2022.

In 2025, Türkmen moved into content production as director of sales and business development at Hacıyatmaz Group, working on show packaging, budgeting and commercial strategy.

In his new role at OGM Universe, Türkmen will lead content distribution strategy across MENA and Africa, driving growth and strengthening partnerships with regional broadcasters and streaming platforms.
