Newen Connect hires former France TV Distribution exec Camille Serra

Newen Connect, the distribution arm of Newen Connect in France, has added Camille Serra to its factual sales team.

Former France TV Distribution, NBCUniversal and RMCD executive Serra will report to Newen Connect’s senior VP of factual distribution, Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj.

Serra will be in charge of developing sales activities in the US, English-speaking Canada, Japan, German-speaking Europe and Eastern Europe, and will oversee sales and pre-sales in Scandinavia.

Paris-based Serra spent just over a year as an international sales manager at France TV Distribution, before leaving earlier this year to join Newen on maternity cover in April.

The company has today confirmed her permanent appointment as international sales manager in the factual and documentary team.

Persyn-Preljocaj said: “Newen Connect’s commercial division, led by Leona Connell, executive VP of distribution, continues its growth and relies on the development of a multi-genre catalogue, including factual, for which there is a strong appetite on the market.
