Netflix’s Spinning Out slips up

Global streamer Netflix has cancelled its figure skating drama Spinning Out after one season.

The 10-episode series, which premiered on Netflix on January 1, is about a young skater (Kaya Scodelario) who after an almost-career-ending accident is given a second chance to return to the ice as a pair skater.

Spinning Out was created by former skater Samantha Stratton, who exec produced the series alongside Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell and Lara Olsen.

The news comes just days after Netflix revealed it had cancelled musical drama Soundtrack also after one season, following its premiere in December.
