Netflix saddles up for Tour de France docuseries

NEWS BRIEF: Netflix is teaming up with Tour de France organiser ASO, with the participation of French pubcaster France Télévisions (FTV), to produce a docuseries on this year’s edition of the famed bicycle race.

Produced by Quadbox, the as-yet-untitled series (8×45’) will follow the journey of eight teams, from cyclists to team managers, as they take part in the 2022 Tour de France. Filming will run from March to July 2022 for a release on Netflix in Q1 in 2023, while FTV will broadcast a feature documentary (1×52’) a few days before the start of the Tour de France 2023.
