Produced by ITV Studios-backed Rollercoaster Television (You Bet, You Bet! On Tour), the 6×45′ series sees contestants take on a guessing game where every decision could lead to life-changing rewards.

Over several episodes, pairs of contestants face off in trivia rounds, racing to correctly guess what’s inside each box. As the game unfolds, shifting alliances and unexpected twists mean only those with sharp instincts and luck will hold onto their winnings.

Scheduled to premiere in December, What’s in the Box is executive produced by James Fox, Dom Waugh, Wes Kauble and Leanne Witcoop.

It joins the global streamer’s growing slate of competition formats, including Building the Band, Million Dollar Secret, The Golden Ticket, Squid Game: The Challenge, Battle Camp, Is It Cake?, The Circle and Star Search.

In related news, Netflix has renewed workplace comedy series Tires for a third season. Produced by Dad Sick Productions and created by comedian Shane Gillis, it follows the managers and employees of a struggling auto-repair chain.
