Nazi atrocities on Alderney detailed in A+E Networks EMEA doc Hitler’s British Island

Hitler’s British Island will premiere on Sky History

A+E Networks EMEA has commissioned two-part factual series Hitler’s British Island to premiere on Sky History in the UK and on History Channel across EMEA later this year.

Produced by Tin Roof Media-backed UK indie Blink Films and WPP-owned GroupM Motion Entertainment, the 2×60′ series sheds new light on the Channel Island of Alderney, which was the only part of the British Isles occupied by Germany during the Second World War.

The Nazis built and operated four slave labour camps there.

The show’s executive producers are former C5 director of programmes Dan Chambers and Tom Adams for Blink Films and Martin Oxley for GroupM Motion Entertainment. It is produced and directed by Andy Webb (The Diana Interview: The Truth Behind the Scandal, Bashir & the BBC).

Dan Korn, VP of programming at A+E Networks EMEA and the show’s commissioner, said: “With the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the death camps fast approaching, there has never been a more critical moment to examine recently unearthed evidence of a cover-up of Nazi atrocities committed on British soil.”
