Narrative-owned Tiny Pop returns as linear channel on Sky and Freeview

Shows on Tiny Pop include Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck

UK preschool channel Tiny Pop, owned by Narrative Entertainment, has relaunched as a linear channel on satcaster Sky and free-to-air terrestrial platform Freeview, five months after going digital-only earlier this year.

Narrative Entertainment had decided to take Tiny Pop off linear TV after launching it on free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) platforms Samsung TV Plus, LG and Netgem. It is also available for free via the Pop Player app and on YouTube.

Prior to its removal from linear TV, Tiny Pop had been available on Sky for 20 years and on Freeview since 2015.

Returning to Sky and Freeview in time for the ‘back-to-school’ season, Tiny Pop joins older-skewing sister channels Pop and Pop Max, which have remained on linear TV throughout.

Shows on Tiny Pop include Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck, Hello Kitty: Super Style! and Masha & the Bear.

Narrative Entertainment’s MD Paul Dunthorne said: “A big part of our success is our willingness to try new things and make audience-led decisions quickly. We learn and act fast. And as we approach autumn, it’s clear that we’ll better serve our audiences by increasing Tiny Pop’s distribution on linear.”
