Meyer to step down as president of Televisa Univision’s US networks

Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Meyer will step down as president of US networks at TelevisaUnivision on October 15, after nearly 15 years with the company.

C21’s Spanish-language sister publication Cveintiuno understands that the executive will remain linked to the company as an advisor on strategic projects. Meyer is expected to announce his next professional move soon.

In his role at TelevisaUnivision, Meyer has overseen the operations of Univision, Unimás and Galavisión, sports network TUDN, local stations as well as the company’s radio and digital platform operations in the US.

The company has yet to announce who will take over his responsibilities.

Meyer has around 25 years of experience in the media industry. He was appointed president of US networks in September 2022, having previously served as executive VP of music and non-scripted entertainment, a role in which he led Univision’s global music strategy, entertainment content and the development of live special events.

During his time with the group, he also spearheaded agreements with record labels and artists and was involved in productions including Premio Lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud and the Latin Grammys.

Earlier in his career at the company, he helped develop Univision Live, its live events and experiences division, and coordinated music and special-events strategy between Univision and Grupo Televisa. Before joining Univision, Meyer was CEO of Wireless Latin Entertainment, managing partner at Konexxion Enterprises and director of business development at the Latin Recording Academy.
