MGM+ acquires Anna Kendrick political thriller Embassy for US, int’l territories

Embassy was launched at Mipcom in Cannes last year

US-based streamer MGM+ has picked up international thriller series Embassy, which stars Anna Kendrick as a diplomat facing a difficult choice when terrorists storm the US embassy in London.

Produced by AGC Television, Ascendant Fox and Turbine Studios, the six-part series is created and written by Rom Lotam. AGC International handles global sales.

It was launched at Mipcom last year and has previously been sold to Germany’s ZDF and Prime Video for the UK, Ireland, Canada, France, Australia and New Zealand.

MGM+ will stream Embassy in the US, Italy, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Argentina.
