Média-Participations adds Groupe M6’s Hannou to audiovisual production team

Média-Participations in France has appointed former Groupe M6 exec Lila Hannou as VP of creative development and strategy for its audiovisual production division.

Along with MD Caroline Audebert, Hannou is in charge of leading all developments and shaping the overall strategy of the division, while using the group’s properties to promote the brands in France and on the international market. Groupe M6’s brands include The Smurfs and Kid Lucky.

In her new role, which she started last week, Hannou will also accelerate growth in coproductions with the company’s various partners.

Hannou was previously animation coproductions and pre-buys director at Groupe M6, which she joined in 2001 as a marketing researcher before moving to the youth programmes division in 2006.

An artistic advisor for five years, then in charge of monitoring programmes, Hannou was subsequently appointed director of youth programmes for M6 Kid in 2015. In that role, she coordinated the editorial strategy of animation acquisitions and pre-buys for M6 Kid and 6play.

She became director of animation coproductions and prebuys for the whole group in 2020 following the company’s acquisition of the channels Gulli, TiJi and Canal J.
