Marike Muselaers joins Nordisk Film Production to head int’l financing, copros

Copenhagen-based prodco Nordisk Film Production has hired industry expert Marike Muselaers in the newly created role of head of international financing and coproduction.

Muselaers joins from Belgium’s Lumière Group where she was chief content and partnerships officer.

Based in Sweden, she joins the management team of Nordisk Film Production where she will be responsible for strengthening the financing of film and series projects and developing a strategy for coproductions.

Muselaers will also work with streaming services, broadcasters and other outfits that partner with the company.

Nordisk Film Production, owned by the entertainment company Nordisk Film, produces films and series in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

She joins the company at a tricky moment, with 18 positions being axed across Denmark, Sweden and Norway to combat rising costs and declining demand from streaming services.
