C21’s Content Canada took place in person in Toronto last month, with the sell-out crowd hearing from industry luminaries spanning local and international broadcasters and streamers, producers, distributors and creatives.

Among those headlining was Kevin Beggs, chair of the Lionsgate Television Group and chief content integration officer for the division’s parent company, who this week renewed a long-term contract with the business.

He spoke to C21Media editor-in-chief & managing director David Jenkinson about how the US studio is adapting to the changes brought by Covid and streaming, and where the industry is headed next.

The pair discussed the rise of AVoD, the fortunes of limited series versus procedurals, international partnerships, Canadian originals and more.

C21FM is live 24/7, with a block of interviews starting at 10am BST every day HERE.
