LADBible owners LBG Media target US expansion with acquisition of Betches

UK-based digital media and youth content publisher LBG Media (LBGM), the owner of LADbible Group, has acquired female-skewing US digital media company Betches.

LBGM said that the deal will accelerate the company’s growth strategy and grow its presence in the US.

Founded in 2011 by Aleen Dreksler, Samantha Sage and Jordana Abraham, Betches is aimed at women aged 18 to 34. All three executives will remain at Betches following the acquisition.

Betches comprises a website, social media accounts and podcast production. The company also organises comedy tours, sells merchandise and publishes books.
