Kiwi broadcaster TVNZ partners podcast producer Frank to stream video shows

New Zealand broadcaster TVNZ has struck a content deal with podcast producer and talent agent Frank to stream its slate of video podcasts on streamer TVNZ+.

Under the partnership, TVNZ+ will host selected video podcasts from Frank’s slate from this month, as the broadcaster expands its content offering and explores new formats.

Mike Minogue, founder and head of innovation at Frank, said the alliance was a significant evolution and coming-of-age for the New Zealand podcasting sector.

Nadia Tolich, TVNZ’s chief news and content officer, said: “This launch is not just about bringing more great content to TVNZ+, it’s about empowering Kiwi talent and opening new distribution opportunities for the country’s best podcast creators.”

Podcasts to be screened include Between Two Beers, Extremely Casual Gamers, Stand Up Again with Nick & Sophie Rado, Human in the Loop, What a Lad and Party Science, with new episodes scheduled weekly.
