Kartoon plays with Roblox series

The new Roblox series will debut in June

Kartoon Channel!, the digital network launched by US kids’ company Genius Brands International, will premiere a new series featuring influencers from gaming platform and game creation system Roblox.

The 12-episode show comes after Genius Brands and kids’ gaming company Tankee partnered to bring a roster of Tankee originals to the ad-supported Kartoon Channel! in 2019.

Since then, the slate of gaming content on Kartoon has expanded to include the Roblox-themed Big B Statz Roblox Challenges and Sally Plays Roblox.

Building on the existing shows, and Roblox itself, Genius Brands and Tankee will produce a new Roblox series featuring top Roblox influencers, set to launch in June.

Roblox’s popularity has soared during the pandemic, with a third of kids in the US and UK using it to connect with friends each week at one point last year, according to Beano Brain.

“Roblox has become a phenomenon that has captured the attention of children across the globe,” said Jon Ollwerther, general manager of Kartoon Channel! at Genius Brands.
