K-dramas from Beta Film picked up in Italy, Greece, MENA

Skam Korea – Fragile has been picked up by MBC

MIPCOM: Italian pubcaster Rai, Greece’s ERT and MBC in the MENA region have each acquired K-drama series from Germany’s Beta Film while at Mipcom this week.

Rai and ERT have picked up thriller series Snow White Must Die (16×60’), based on German author Nele Neuhaus’s novel of the same name.

Produced by Hidden Sequence, the series centres on a young man who served 10 years in prison for a murder he does not remember committing. After his release, he sets out to clear his name.

MBC has also picked up Snow White Must Die for its streaming service Shahid, in addition to Skam Korea – Fragile (8×26’).

The teen drama is the Korean adaptation of Norwegian series Skam and follows a teenage girl as she navigates academic pressure, identity, friendship and a strained relationship with her seemingly carefree boyfriend.
