Devised and produced by indie prodco Tuesday’s Child (Lego Masters), the show is based on the popular Am I the Asshole? Subreddit, where people seek judgement from strangers to help them settle everyday conflicts.

The 8×60’ series invites members of the public to appear before host Jimmy Carr and a panel of two other comedians to ask their hilarious and sometimes shocking questions.

The questions cover everything from relationship disputes to petty family squabbles, with Carr having the final say. It will air later this year.

The executive producers are Steph Harris for Tuesday’s Child, lestyn Barker for Comedy Central UK and Marc Beaulac, creator of the Reddit concept.

The format rights are licensed globally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Harris said: “Our new format has found the perfect home at Comedy Central and the perfect host in the incomparable Jimmy Carr, and is guaranteed to deliver bucketloads of brutally honest, hilarious assholery.”

Barker added: “We’re thrilled to have Jimmy Carr back on Comedy Central UK, in charge of sorting right from wrong in this hilarious and no-holds-barred show that will leave viewers open-mouthed with stories of ridiculous and questionable behaviour.”
