Jetpack launches two new toons

MIPJUNIOR: UK-based sales outfit Jetpack Distribution has added two more animated series to its slate for Cannes this week, one a Brazilian-Indian coproduction and the other from New Zealand.

Oswaldo

Oswaldo (52×11’) is a coproduction between Brazil based Birdo Studios and India based Symbiosis Technologies. It was the most watched Brazilian animated series on Cartoon Network Brazil in 2017 and the top-rated Sunday show on Brazil’s TV Cultura in 2018.

It follows the misadventures of a penguin, Oswaldo, who was adopted and raised by human parents and who faces his biggest challenge – surviving school.

Barefoot Bandits (20×22’) is produced by New Zealand based Muckpuddy Animation and is being distributed in partnership with Kid Glove. It currently airs on TVNZ and Network Ten Australia.

The adventure comedy series is set in a world of aliens, vegetable zombies, lizard people, pirate ghosts and more.
